Day 1: Maun Arrival at Maun Airport and transfer to Motsentsela Tree Lodge. Days 2 & 3: Moremi Transfer back to Maun for your light charter flight to Xakanaxa, situated on the border of Moremi Wildlife Reserve.Moremi is often called the heart of the Okavango and big game such as elephant, buffalo, lion, cheetah, leopard, wild dog, hyena, giraffe and hippo together with local specials such as the swamp dependent sitatunga antelope are major attractions. Most of Botswana’s national bird list of 550 species are residents or migrants including Pels Fishing Owl and Slaty Egret. Spend 2 nights at Xakanaxa CampDays 4 & 5: Okavango Delta Scheduled light charter flight from Xakanaxa into the Okavango.This is a vast area of secluded waterways, papyrus, thickly wooded islands and stupendous wildlife, one of the major wilderness attractions of Africa. Here game viewing is mainly by motorboat, on foot with an experienced tracker/guide on one of the delta's many islands or, in ultimate harmony with nature, by a traditional mokoro (traditional dug out canoe). Look out for the rare and elusive wild dog. Scheduled light charter flight from Stanley’s Camp into the Linyanti Reserve consisting of 125,000 hectares of prime wilderness. The landscape here is vast and remote, characterized by grassland vistas dotted with palm forest island, riverine forests, wetlands and Leadwood and Mopane woodlands. The Savuti area is most famous for its Lions, which are legendary and have been documented in National Geographic films. The Kwando, Selinda and Linyanti private concessions offer you the opportunity to experience some of the finest game viewing in Africa in one of the most remote wilderness areas in the world.
