Oct 2007: Zambia Safari
"We had a fantastic time and it was great to have the services of Alan from Bushbuck as guide and driver, who went out of his way to make sure everything went smoothly. It was especially great to have his help with the border crossings. Kubu lodge was a great place to stay as well and Bushbuck Lodge provided personalized service with lots of local knowledge, in a quiet setting on the river's edge. Thank- you - Graham & Pam Keene Australia
TAILOR MADE ISLAND STAYS

The proximity of Mozambique to South Africa and the regular flight schedule between the 2 countries, make Mozambique the perfect island destination to be combined with a safari to South Africa. Access to the islands from the town of Vilancullos on the mainland is by boat or air. The accommodation on the islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago offer a relaxing island retreat with a difference- apart from the wealth of marine and bird life, there are no crowds, even fewer fellow guests. Most island lodges have only 10-20 chalets with a ratio of 2 members of staff to 1 guest. By contrast, there are many exciting activities to enjoy on the islands from a wide variety of water sports to spectacular snorkeling or diving. Fishing of all kinds is popular and a catch, photograph and release policy is encouraged. A sunset dhow trip is a beautiful way to the end the day in peace watching out for flamingos, dolphins, dugong and whales. There are also interesting guided walking trails to mangrove swamps, freshwater lakes and turtle nests. Bird watching during these walks can be highly rewarding with over 115 different varieties.
