Winelands

With its picturesque vineyards, splendid wine routes, majestic mountain ranges and historical towns, the Cape Winelands has much to offer its visitors. Here you are guaranteed to taste some of the finest wines in the world with a selection of over 200 cellars to choose from. Less than an hour's drive from Cape Town lies a world of olive farms, hand-crafted cheeses, wide open skies, scenic mountain passes and country farmstalls. Lovers of good food can sample some of the Cape's best cuisine at many of the fine restaurants found throughout the area whilst oak lined avenues invite one to take a stroll stopping to admire the beautiful examples of Cape Dutch architecture and many art galleries and craft shops.

The Cape Winelands offers a lovely relaxed alternative to staying in Cape Town. Many of our guests also enjoy a combination stay of a few days in the city or at the beach and then 2 or 3 nights on a country wine estate or in the charming historic center of Stellenbosch, Paarl or Franschhoek, "the French corner".
