The Linyanti Reserve consists of 125,000 hectares of prime wilderness. It is also well known for its walking trail safaris, the ultimate wildlife experience of the African bush. The reserve is bordered to the north by the Linyanti River and to the east by the Chobe National Park. Two thirds of the Savuti Channel is situated within this reserve. The region has all the habitat diversity to make it a haven for wildlife. There are excellent grasslands and waterholes along the Savuti Channel and along the Linyanti. Inland there are acacia and mopane forests, which sustain large herds of Elephants and buffalos amongst herds of impala, lechwe, kudu, zebra, giraffe, sable, roan, and waterbuck in the winter months. The landscape here is vast and remote, characterized by grassland vistas dotted with palm forest island, riverine forests, wetlands and Leadwood and Mopane woodlands. The Savuti area is most famous for its Lions, which are legendary and have been documented in National Geographic films. The Kwando, Selinda and Linyanti private concessions offer you the opportunity to experience some of the finest game viewing in Africa in one of the most remote wilderness areas in the world.
