Bushmanskloof rockart and wildlife 3 day tour

10 000 years ago Bushmans Kloof was the one of the favourite hunting- gathering grounds of the San (Bushman) people. Kalahari Safaris

Pioneers in safaris into the Kalahari since 1995, we offer the widest choice for travellers wishing to explore this remote part of Africa. We are passionate about the Kalahari and so are our guides, who will ensure you a safari of a lifetime.

Red desert dunes, diverse wildlife, thorntree savannahs and wide open spaces are all part of one of Africa's largest untouched wildlife sanctuaries, the Kgalagadi ( Kalahari ) Transfrontier Park. With no border between Botswana and South Africa, an area of over 3,6 million hectares ( twice the size of the Kruger Park ) allows large game to still roam in unspoilt freedom and the two dry, ancient riverbeds of the Auob and Nossob attract a host of plants and animals adapted remarkably to this unique semi desert environment.

The Kalahari is home to the dark maned lion, the Gemsbok "tsamma" melon, thorntree acacia and inquisitive suricate. Other animals to look out for include the leopard, cheetah, spotted and brown hyena, wild dog, jackal, antelope such as oryx, gnu, springbok, red hartebeest. Birdlife is prolific with over 250 species recorded in the park including some impressive raptors.
